Should you wash windows in the sun?

When it comes to the various cleaning tasks that we must undertake around the house, many of us would instinctively think that a sunny day is a good day to do it. After all, if we’re getting things all soaking wet, we want them to dry quickly, don’t we?

We sure do, but should you wash windows in the sun?

Nope. Not a good idea. But why?

Well, as the experts at the Tampa Bay Window Cleaners have confirmed, washing windows on a sunny day should be avoided as the heat will cause the glass window pane to dry too quickly, causing smears, smudges, and general window wooziness.

Thus, the experts suggest waiting for a cloudy day before going toe to toe with any mucky windows. You could even do it on a rainy day… but I doubt that would be much fun.

So the next time the sun shines, instead of rushing to grab your soap and your sponges, why not grab a deck chair and enjoy a little sunbathe. You and your windows will be far better off for it!
